Each instrument is hidden inside a trap-filled cave guarded by entities known as Nightmares.Link has learned some new moves for his first handheld adventure, including the ability to jump and attack at the same time, and the ability to move his shield to block attacks or to push enemies. Yet in order to do this, the elfin hero must collect eight musical instruments scattered across the island. A talking owl tells Link that he needs to awaken a creature called the Wind Fish if he wants to return home. ![]() After a tumultuous storm, Link finds himself shipwrecked on a mysterious island named Koholint. The story picks up after the conclusion of the Super NES game, which has young Link venturing across the sea to continue his training as Hyrule's greatest champion. Link makes his anticipated Game Boy debut in this four-megabit cartridge, which closely follows the visual style introduced in 1992's Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. There is a timer, which counts up it is unknown whether completing challenges in certain time brackets affects the reward given. Link can earn various items as reward, including Rupees, and a Fairy Bottle. If there is more than one stairway in the dungeon, Link must choose which ones will connect. There also must be enough chests holding keys to be able to unlock every locked door or block. Chamber Dungeons must have an entrance room, Nightmare's Lair, and all doors must connect. Dampé presents Link with various challenges, which require him to arrange chambers from previously explored dungeons to create a new dungeon in a specific shape. These are customizable dungeons accessed by speaking to Dampé in his shack, located where the Camera Shop was in Link's Awakening DX (West Tal Tal Heights).
