![]() ![]() I cannot imagine seeing anything more awesome than that. Never in my life will I forget the power of the grizzly bear. The bear sat down immediately and began drinking from the stream as if nothing had happened, as if it were a regular occurrence to go decapitating the head of a moose. And then I was absolutely flabbergasted and discombobulated to see, a great up-splash of blood, and the moose's head detached from the body and landed not three feet from where I was hidden, its eyes staring right at me. Why it was if you or I would swat a fly, but the impact seemed to me as loud as a gunshot. The moose's head became decapitated and flew a distance of fifteen to twenty feet.and quick as a spark on a fire the grizzly bear stood up and swatted the moose in the face. The moose charged full speed across the stream, and just as it neared the bear, the bear stood up and with a quick motion swiped the moose in the side of the face. Moose are very territorial, and they are especially known to attack anything they perceive to be a threat to their water source. According to his account, he witnessed a moose drinking from a stream when a Grizzly bear approached from the other side. The first reported event took place in Alaska in 1895 by a Russian miner who was hiking through the wilderness. A grizzly will more then likely kill and eat you if you piss him off. You damn sure shouldn't try to square up with a Silverback gorilla on his home turf but odds are he'll just beat the living crap out of you if you curl up into a ball. Google grizzly bear kills moose for a demonstration video of how a grizzly can quite easily take down a large prey species. Unlike gorillas they are very much apex predators, or, in this case, apex omnivores. Just keep in mind, as cute as that little bear seems in the photo, it will one day grow up to be a silverback gorilla’s worst nightmare. Grizzlies, unfortunately, have even larger teeth and match them with 4 inch long claws. grizzly is bigger, but silverback is stronger with index control and agility but grizzly is durable and very tough to kill without something like a high-caliber gun i think double KO, no winner. They do have impressively large canine teeth so when two dominant Silverbacks do throw down its on uncommon for both to suffer severe injuries. They are far more likely to engage in an aggressive display to drive away a rival or predator. ![]() Finally the gorilla is a shy and comparatively gentle vegetarian species. That big hump behind a grizzly's neck is all muscle. The gorilla, is incredibly strong, unfortunately for our dear cousin the ape a grizzly is even more powerful. A supremely fit Silverback gorilla at about 600 pounds, a truly dominant grizzly at 800 pounds. The average male gorilla will come in at about 475 pounds, the average male Grizzly bear at 600. Up to 8 men if we are talking about your typical internet posters. Its closer to 4 times as strong as a fit adult male. Y'all forgettin that gorilla strength tho. ![]()
